Your prenatal and postpartum care is the same high-quality, relationship-centered support across all locations of birth. For a detailed breakdown of what these visits include, visit our Prenatal Care and Postpartum Care Service Pages.
Your care team supports you with the same continuity, attention, and calm presence you’d receive in a home birth. We practice delayed cord clamping, keep baby on your chest for immediate bonding, and complete newborn assessments right at your bedside so you remain connected and supported.
Families typically head home within 3–5 hours after birth—once you and baby are stable, fed, and ready to rest in your own space. If a situation arises that requires hospital support, you can feel confident knowing we have clear, established transfer plans and a team trained to recognize and respond early.
All Village Birth Center practitioners maintain certifications in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and participate in regular emergency drills to remain skilled and prepared.
All required birth documents, including the birth certificate and Social Security card, are filed on your behalf so you can simply focus on healing and bonding.
